FAQs

How much notice do you need to schedule serivices?

Kara's Critter Care, LLC does the best we can to make sure your pet doesn't go without care but can not make any gaurantees that we can fit you in last minute.  We do our best to fit in emergency day of calls but to ensure we have room in the schedule, give us as much notice as possible.  If you are a new client, try to give at least a weeks notice so we can get a meet and greet scheduled prior to you leaving.  Please note that all last minute requests (within 24 hours) are subject to a $10 last minute fee.

How much does it cost?

Each weekday visit starts at $19 and each weekend visit starts at $22.  For pet sitting, the price goes up not by amount of pets, but if the time needed to care for the pets takes longer than half an hour.  For dog walking, the price goes up $5 each additional dog after the first 2 dogs.

Is the price per visit or per day?

The cost is per visit.  Someone requiring 1 visit per day for their pet should not pay the same as someone requiring 4 visits in a day.  Nor should we be expected to do extra visits throughout the day for no extra pay.

How long are your visits?

Each visit lasts 20-30 minutes.  If longer is required, there will be additional charges.

Do I get to meet my sitter?

A huge benefit of hiring Kara's Critter Care is that we will work as a team and any of our sitters are qualified to do the visits.  This means you will never be without a sitter and your pet gets to have multiple friends.  Each sitter is trained by Kara and is fully trusted to care for your pet as if they were their own.  If you must meet your assigned sitter, there will be a regular visit fee to do so.

Are you insured and bonded?

Yes, everyone is bonded and insured through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).
